Manual Linear Stages

Linear translation stages are designed to constrain motion to an ideal straight line and can be combined to create xy, xz or xyz multi-axis motion configurations.  Newport combines our precision linear adjustment screws and micrometer actuators with advanced bearing configurations and precision machined surfaces to create the manual linear stages required by top researchers and OEM suppliers.  Careful consideration is given to anything that can contribute to deviations from ideal linear motion.  This includes stage material stiffness, thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, machining tolerances, bearing or flexure design, and linear actuator choice.
